Passionate about building and launching new companies, Mathieu is actively involved with the Ottawa startup community. Mathieu sits on multiple boards and is Managing Director at Ventured Synergy, a private investment firm focused on early-stage and growth-stage companies. Mathieu has a strong inclination for startups with deep technology roots but also works with any outstanding teams with disruptive business models, regardless of the industry. Mathieu has many years of experience in managing complex technology development projects with embedded systems, distributed measurement and automation systems, e-commerce, IIoT, and robotics. His latest venture, Inclusum AI, works at the intersection of AI and IoT to help companies bring machine learning to the Edge and embedded devices. Mathieu received a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from U. of Ottawa and an M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Université Laval.

Capital Angels
The Capital Angel Network is a group of angel investors in the Ottawa-Gatineau region who meet about nine times a year. At these events, up to three companies present their proposals to the angels in attendance. They also host certain special events throughout the year in order to engage with the investment and entrepreneurial communities in the National Capital Region.
