Sheryl Cormicle Knox has extensive experience in library and information technology, currently serving as the Technology Director at Capital Area District Libraries since January 2002, previously holding the role of Systems Specialist. Prior to this, Sheryl was the Principal and Owner of Clarus Information Architects from May 1997 to December 2001 and worked as a Cybrarian for the Kellogg/Apple Library of Tomorrow Community Networking Initiative between February 1995 and June 1997. Additionally, Sheryl gained experience as an Information Specialist for the Consortium for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) and as a Reference Assistant at the Natural Science Library, University of Michigan. Sheryl's early career included teaching kindergarten for Teach for America in partnership with Lynwood Unified School District. Educational qualifications include a Master of Information and Library Studies from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in English from Grinnell College.
