Brenda Wilkerson

Brenda Wilkerson currently serves as Communications Manager at Capital Area Workforce Development since July 2006, where responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of the strategic communications plan and collaborating with colleagues to enhance communication efforts. Previously, Brenda held roles as Regional Project Manager (Contract) for Triangle WorkSource, focusing on enhancing the capacity of workforce boards, and as Business Services Manager, where marketing services to the business community was a key focus. Earlier experience includes serving as Divisional Director of Operations at Advance America, managing the performance of multiple loan branch locations. Education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from James Madison University and ongoing pursuit of a Master’s degree in Communications/Public Relations at Southern New Hampshire University.
