Gene Short

Gene Short, CPA has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 1999 with a role as an Underwriter at Transamerica. Throughout their career, they have held various positions within the company, including Financial Analyst, Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, and Assistant Manager Financial Reporting. In 2015, they became the Manager of Financial Analysis and held this role until 2020. In 2020, Gene joined American Endovascular & Amputation Prevention as a Controller. Currently, they are working as the Director of Financial Reporting at Capital Blue Cross.

Gene Short, CPA, holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Accounting and Business Advisory Services, which they obtained from the University of Baltimore from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business at the University of Baltimore from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they have obtained the certifications of Alteryx Core Certified from Alteryx in 2019 and Certified Public Accountant from the Maryland Department of Labor in January 2006.
