Deon Avery

Deon Avery currently serves as the High School Principal at Capital City Public Charter School since August 2023 and is the Owner/Founder of Learning Socially Online, where responsibilities include developing business plans and creating virtual curriculum for various age groups. Previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Principal at Baltimore City Public Schools and as a Spanish Teacher at both Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Deon has a background in supporting PBIS implementation and advancing equitable practices in educational environments. Additionally, Deon has experience as a Foster Parent, providing critical support and advocacy for children in care. Deon Avery is pursuing a Doctorate in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction, and holds multiple degrees in education and language studies from prominent universities.
