Tarso Theophanous

Tarso Theophanous is an experienced compliance professional with a strong focus on financial services and regulatory adherence. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance (International) at Capital.com since September 2020, Tarso also held the position of Group Head of Compliance at CIF from October 2019 to September 2020. Tarso's previous role as a Senior Compliance Consultant at Meerkat Services Ltd involved providing compliance and risk management support to various CIFs, emphasizing the preparation of compliance reports and the implementation of regulatory directives such as MiFID II and the 4th AML Directive. Tarso's career began with a role as a Summer Intern at the Center for Security Studies, contributing to research on international anti-trafficking legal frameworks. Education includes a degree from the University of the West of England and ongoing studies for a Master’s degree in Financial Services at the Cyprus International Institute of Management.
