Capital District YMCA
Gina O'Sullivan is an experienced professional in public health and research, currently serving as the Director of the Bureau of Tobacco Control at the New York State Department of Health since October 2008, overseeing cancer evaluation and program monitoring. Prior roles at the Department include Research Scientist and Evaluation Specialist, where responsibilities involved developing evaluation plans for cancer control initiatives. In addition to public health roles, Gina has worked as a Group Fitness Instructor at Capital District YMCA and Sidney Albert Albany JCC, and as a Research Associate for Berkshire Farm Center. Gina's early career included serving as a Research Coordinator at Boston University School of Medicine, where oversight of grants, contracts, and research administrative support was provided. Gina holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University with a focus on Social & Behavioral Sciences, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same institution.
