Shannon Romanowski is an accomplished executive in the non-profit sector with extensive experience at Capital District YMCA since 2008, currently serving as District Executive Director. Previous roles include Executive Director at the Troy Family Branch and Senior Program Director, where responsibilities encompassed program oversight in Aquatics, Health and Wellness, Child Care, and Summer Camp, along with staff hiring, training, budget management, and fundraising initiatives. Earlier experience includes serving as Youth and Camping Director at Greater Springfield YMCA. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Recreation from Plymouth State University and an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Holyoke Community College, complemented by leadership training from the Rennselaer County Regional Chamber Leadership Institute.
