Capital District YMCA
Vanessa Geneva Ahern is an experienced professional with a diverse background in writing, yoga instruction, and standardized patient portrayal. Currently serving as a Group Specialty Instructor in Yoga at Capital District YMCA since January 2023, Vanessa also has been working as a Standardized Patient at Albany Medical College since November 2016, providing valuable feedback to medical students. As a freelance writer since January 2002, contributions have included restaurant reviews for Hudson Valley Good Stuff, and articles for various publications, including Saratoga Living magazine, Luminary Publishing, and SELF magazine. Vanessa holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Writing from Columbia University, earned in 2002.
