Diane L. Smith

Diane L. Smith serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Capital For Change, Inc. since January 2023. Previously, Diane held the position of Chief Real Estate Development Officer at Way Finders from August 2020 to January 2023 and worked at the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority from August 2004 to August 2020, where Diane served in various roles including Director of Planning, Research & Evaluation and Interim Executive Director. With extensive experience in affordable housing and community development, Diane has led multidisciplinary efforts, developed new policies, and supervised complex responsibilities to foster housing opportunities in Connecticut. Prior roles include Executive Director of Housing Development Finance at the CT Department of Economic and Community Development and Manager of Business Development at the CT Department of Economic Development. Diane holds a Master of Arts degree from Trinity College-Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut.
