Carl Marshall

Carl Marshall has over 16 years of experience in client services and leadership roles. Currently serving as Client Services Team Manager at American Funds since September 2007, Carl Marshall manages a cross-functional team focused on retirement, investment, and college savings products, while also overseeing change initiatives related to quality management and software updates. Previously, Carl Marshall held the role of Client Service Specialist, where evaluation and user testing of new software was conducted, along with coaching peers in complex customer issue resolution. Prior to American Funds, Carl Marshall was the Director of Youth Ministry at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, where leadership over youth groups, budget administration, and fundraising for relief efforts were key responsibilities. Carl Marshall holds a Master’s degree from Regent University and a Bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University.
