Marlo Smith

Marlo Smith, MS, is an experienced Event Manager currently employed at Capital Impact Partners since April 2022. With a strong background in event management, Marlo has also served as an Event Associate at Howerton+Wooten Events, LLC since December 2013, and previously held roles at the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, where responsibilities included coordinating over 300 annual events from August 2016 to December 2021. Early experience includes internships and roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, The Robert Andrew Collection of Salons & Spas, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Marlo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Virginia State University and a Master’s Degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
