Chandra Shekhar Mudarapu

Chandra Shekhar Mudarapu is a highly experienced technology leader with extensive expertise in AI and machine learning engineering. Currently serving as Senior Director of AI/ML Engineering at Capital One since September 2015, Chandra has been instrumental in building high-performance teams focused on optimizing model deployment and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML inference solutions, particularly around large language model (LLM) optimizations. Previous roles at Capital One include Director of AI/ML Engineering and Senior Lead Engineer for ML Platform, where Chandra led the development of large-scale generative AI training systems and implemented a comprehensive ML training platform utilizing Kubeflow and Kubernetes. Prior experience at Deloitte spanned from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer. Chandra holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Texas State University.
