Jay Michelini

Jay Michelini is an accomplished product leader with extensive experience in financial services, currently serving as the Head of Product for Core Products & Platforms at Capital One since July 2012. In this role, Jay oversees a team of 30 and is responsible for the vision, strategy, and roadmap aimed at enhancing deposit growth and modernizing core banking systems. Prior to this, Jay held various leadership positions at Capital One, including Head of Technology Strategy & Operations and Product Management Lane Lead, focusing on customer outcomes and financial products. Additional experience includes roles at ING DIRECT, GroupAngels, and Navigant Consulting, where Jay specialized in product management, marketing, and consulting for distressed companies. Jay holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a degree in Systems Engineering and Economics from the University of Virginia.
