Kazi Islam

Kazi Islam is a seasoned machine learning engineer with extensive experience in natural language processing and data analysis within the life sciences and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Capital One since September 2022, Kazi has previously held positions at Genesis Research and Evid Science, where responsibilities included developing and deploying advanced NLP models for health economics research and large-scale inference using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Services. Kazi's academic foundations include a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the University of California, Riverside, where involvement spanned research and teaching roles, alongside internships at Philips, Ticketmaster, the University of Rochester, and Reve Systems. Kazi holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
