Shelley McDonnell

Shelley McDonnell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience at Capital One since June 1999, currently serving as Senior Director of Machine Learning and Gen AI Risk Management. McDonnell has held multiple leadership roles, including Director positions in Machine Learning, Gen AI Risk, Cyber and Technology Risk Management, and Operational Risk. Responsibilities include evaluating operational risk profiles, analyzing risk data, and providing effective challenges to risk assessments as part of the Second Line of Defense. McDonnell also served as a Risk Manager on the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Richmond from 2006 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing Management from East Carolina University and an MBA from Averett University.
