Steven Barrett is a skilled professional with significant experience in environmental science and toxicology. Currently serving as a Contaminated Sites Specialist at Capital Regional District since April 2023, Steven undertakes preliminary site investigations, manages excess soils for infrastructure projects, oversees field programs, and monitors soil and water quality. Previously, as a Risk Assessor at SLR Consulting, responsibilities included conducting ecological and human health risk assessments and managing field programs. Steven’s foundational roles include Environmental Toxicologist at Azimuth Consulting Group Inc. and various academic positions at Simon Fraser University, where a Master’s Degree in Environmental Toxicology was obtained. Steven's educational background also includes a BSc in Environmental Science and a diploma in Water Quality and Environmental Engineering Technology.
