Michael Schumacher started their work experience in 1994 as a Senior Tax Accountant at Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited. In this role, they were responsible for handling FAS 109 Tax Provision for the TIG Insurance Group, statutory tax disclosures for annual statements, and preparing federal tax returns for property and casualty insurance companies and C corps. Michael worked at Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited until 2006.
In 2006, Michael joined Capital Senior Living as a Tax Director. As the first Tax Director for the company, their key accomplishment was investigating and researching prior tax return positions and filing amended federal returns. This resulted in a cash refund of $2.5 million.
Michael Schumacher obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from California State University - East Bay. Michael completed their undergraduate studies in 1982. In addition, Michael Schumacher received a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in January 2020.
