Faraz Naeem Hotiana

Faraz Naeem Hotiana is the current CEO at Capital Stake. Prior to this, they worked as a finance management trainee at AkzoNobel from May 2014 to April 2017. There, they were responsible for preparing monthly, bi-annual, and annual forecasts for all business lines of AkzoNobel Pakistan. This included using financial models to prepare latest views, rolling forecasts, and budgets for top and bottom-line financials. Faraz also analysed and reported forecasted numbers by comparison with actuals and performed various analysis, such as waterfall analysis, variance analysis, and Z-Charts.

In addition to their finance responsibilities, they were also responsible for compliance of company processes with policies. This involved preparing compliance reports for consumption of the Chief Executive and Executive Management Team of ANPL. Faraz also prepared quarterly debtor’s review for the CFO and monthly finance presentations for the Executive Team. Faraz served as a liaison between company management and the outsourced internal audit (EY) function. This involved streamlining coordination and moderating meetings, such as kick-off meetings and draft points discussion meetings.

Before their work at AkzoNobel, they interned at EY in their Risk and Advisory department from April 2014 to May 2014.

Faraz Naeem Hotiana has a Bachelor's Degree in BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. Faraz is also an ACCA Member in Accounting and Finance from ACCA. Faraz has an Advanced Level in Economics, Physics and Mathematics from Beaconhouse Defence Campus. Faraz also has an Ordinary level in Physics, Chemistry and Additional Mathematics from Beaconhouse Defence Campus. Faraz is also a Chartered Certified Accountant - Member from ACCA.
