Tan Yew Chin

Tan Yew Chin is Chief Executive Officer, CapitaLand Singapore, with effect from 1 July 2020. In his new expanded role, Yew Chin will be responsible for CapitaLand’s retail, residential and workspace (including business park and commercial) businesses in Singapore.

Yew Chin is currently CEO, Business Park & Commercial, CapitaLand Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia, a position he has held since July 2019. Prior to joining CapitaLand in July 2019, Yew Chin was CEO, Singapore & South East Asia, Ascendas-Singbridge, where he oversaw investment and development management and asset management in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Yew Chin has more than 30 years of real estate experience across the field of investment, development and asset management. He was one of the pioneers who helped set up Technology Park Pte Ltd – the predecessor of Arcasia Land and Ascendas – in 1990, and was instrumental in establishing and growing the Singapore portfolio. Mr Tan started his career in 1987 with Colliers Goh and Tan, where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of residential, industrial and commercial properties.

Yew Chin holds a Bachelor of Science (Building) from the National University of Singapore.
