Brad Cochrane has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Brad is currently working as an O&M Manager for Alberta Renewables at Capital Power since January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Solar Canada at the same company from September 2021 to December 2022. Before joining Capital Power, Brad worked at EVRAZ North America, where they held the positions of General Supervisor of Maintenance from May 2019 to September 2021, and Electrical Maintenance Supervisor from May 2017 to May 2019. Brad also worked as a Project Coordinator at Westwood Electric from June 2014 to May 2017, and as an Electrical Engineer-in-Training at SaskPower from May 2013 to June 2014. Brad started their career as a Field Engineering Intern at Ganotec West in 2011.

Brad Cochrane pursued their education in a methodical and progressive manner. Brad began their academic journey in 2009 at the University of Saskatchewan, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013. Motivated to further enhance their knowledge and skills in the business field, Brad then enrolled in the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University from 2016 to 2018. During this time, they acquired a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. Continuing their commitment to attaining higher-level expertise, Brad Cochrane is currently undertaking a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which commenced in 2020 and is expected to conclude in 2024. Through their educational endeavors, Brad has established a strong foundation in both technical engineering and business administration, allowing him to effectively navigate various professional environments.
