Glen Palmer's work experience spans over several years and includes various roles in the construction and engineering field. Glen began their career as a Civil Engineering Technician at Thurber Engineering Ltd. in 1999 and worked there until 2005. Glen then joined CT & Associates Engineering as a Civil Engineer for a brief period of five months. In 2005, they started working at Bantrel as a Civil Structural Field Engineer and remained there until 2008. From 2008 to 2011, they served as a Construction Coordinator at WorleyParsons. Glen then joined Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. in 2011 as a Site Superintendent for a short period. In the same year, they started their own project management services company called GR Palmer Project Management Services, where they worked as a Project Manager and Field Engineer from 2011 to 2023. Glen also worked at Capital Power Corporation as an Owner's field rep -Lead Civil/Mechanical from 2011 to 2012 and later as a Site Manager for Operations from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, Glen rejoined WorleyParsons as a Construction Coordinator and Area Manager until 2016. Since 2016, they have been working at Capital Power as a Program Development Specialist until 2018, then as a Construction Manager/Project Engineer until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Project Specialist at Capital Power.
Glen Palmer attended the University of Alberta from 1999 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering and Project Management.
