Kate Baltare

Kate Baltare serves as the Sustainability and Reporting Manager at Capital Power since June 2023. With a robust background in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) advisory services, Kate has held roles at RSM Canada, progressing from Associate to Senior Associate in ESG Advisory Services from November 2021 to June 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Regulatory Excellence Officer for the Government of Alberta, where key deliverables involved supporting red tape reduction initiatives and developing comprehensive reports for senior management. Early career experience encompasses multiple roles in aquatic instruction at Strathcona County and internship positions within Capital Power focused on sustainability strategy, renewable operations, and ESG disclosures. Educational credentials comprise a Master of Environment and Business with a concentration in Sustainable Development from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a Business Minor, and a Certificate in Sustainability from the University of Alberta.
