Kate Chisholm

Kate Chisholm, K.C., MBA, ICD.D, serves as the Board Chair at the University of Alberta and has been a Board Member for Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) and the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) since 2023 and 2022, respectively. From 2015, Kate has been a Director at the Palix Foundation, focusing on childhood development, addiction, and mental health. As the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal & Sustainability Officer at Capital Power Corporation since 2009, Kate leads multiple teams related to legal and sustainability efforts. Kate has also held various board positions, including with Carbon Management Canada and the Alberta Securities Commission. Notably, Kate founded the MORE Mentoring Program, supporting young professional women from 2008 to 2018. Kate holds an MBA from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University.
