Deputy Chief at Capitol Special Police

Mark Teachey has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Mark began their career in the US Army in 1983 and served as a Retired US Army Military Officer until 2011. During this time, they held the role of Captain at Capitol Special Police from 2005 until 2011. In 2011, they joined Capitol Special Police as Deputy Chief. In 2012, they transitioned to the U.S. Department of State as a Project Manager until 2013. In 2013, they joined District 11A Veterans Treatment Court as the Veteran Treatment Coordinator, responsible for coordinating resources and support for veterans in the court system.

Mark Teachey completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of Phoenix between 2004 and 2006. Earlier, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan University from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they pursued a Criminal Justice and Public Policy program at North Carolina Wesleyan University from 1991 to 1994. In terms of certifications, Mark Teachey obtained the WPS Protective Security Specialist certification from the US State Department in January 2013.
