Cyril Jane Ranido is currently serving as the Dean of the College of Computer Studies and Director of ICTS at Capitol University. Prior to this, Ranido worked as an Instructor I at Notre Dame of Tacurong College. Ranido holds a Master's degree in Information Management and Information Technology from the University of the Immaculate Conception, as well as a Doctorate in Management from Capitol University.

Capitol University formerly Cagayan Capitol College was established in 1971 as a non – sectarian, co – educational private academic institution, duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a stock corporation and operates with the authority of the Department of Education for its primary and secondary programs and the Commission on Higher Education for its tertiary, graduate and postgraduate programs. On October 27, 2003 by virtue of CHED en banc Resolution No. 393 series of 2003. Capitol University was granted DEREGULATED status in recognition of its quality education, integrity and untarnished reputation as an academic institution. On October 24, 2019 CHED Memorandum Order No. 12 series of 2019 was issued granting Capitol University Autonomous status, effective from June 2019 until May 2021. Region 10 has only two identified Autonomous HEIs. Capitol University has produced several top notchers in the licensure examination for Nurses as well as for teachers. In the recent licensure exam for nurses Capitol University surpassed the national percentage of passing and ranked first through out Region X.
