Niels Jul Jacobsen

Niels Jul Jacobsen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Niels Jul is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Capra Robotics ApS, a position they have held since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Strategy Director at Teradyne Inc from January 2020 to July 2020.

From 2012 to 2020, Jacobsen had various roles at Mobile Industrial Robots A/S, including Chief Strategy Officer, CTO, and CEO/Founder. In these roles, they played a key role in the development of user-friendly and safe collaborative mobile robots used by manufacturers in different industries.

Before joining Mobile Industrial Robots A/S, they served as the Head of RoboLab at SDU at the University of Southern Denmark from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at Innovation Network RoboCluster from 2007 to 2010.

Jacobsen also has experience in the maritime industry, having worked as the Head of Department for Program Development at Odense Steel Shipyard Ltd. from 2002 to 2006. Niels Jul also served as the CTO at AMROSE A/S from 1996 to 2001.

Earlier in their career, Jacobsen worked as a PHD researcher and research scholar at the University of Southern Denmark, IMADA from 1991 to 1995.

Niels Jul Jacobsen completed their education at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark. Niels Jul obtained a Graduate Diploma in Finance, specializing in Economics in 2007. Prior to that, they earned their MSc in Computer Science Technology with a focus on Robotics Technology/Technician in 1990.
