Dan Geist

Dan leads the operations team for CapShift’s investment research and advisory practices. Prior to joining CapShift, Dan spent six years at State Street Corporation where he led North American OTC derivative operations for State Street Global Advisors and where he previously managed hedge fund operations also for SSGA. Before State STreet, Dan spent close to ten years as the Director of Operations for Global Securities Advisors, LLC, a registered investment advisory firm, where he managed all operational functions associated with the firm’s hedge fund business. He also served as Partner of GMG Investment Advisors, LLC, a direct lending investment management company that focused on providing local debt investments to small and medium enterprises in emerging markets. Previous to this, Dan was a derivatives specialist at John Hancock Financial Services Corporation, and he began his career at State Street as a mutual fund account controller in the Neuberger Berman group. Dan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
