Adam is a Partner in the Health and Social Care and Public Law Advisory Team. For over 20 years he has worked with clients in the health & social care and regulatory sectors advising on a range of legal issues relating to the care and treatment of patients and regulation of health and social care providers.

Adam is a very experienced Inquest advocate and provides advice and support including representation from the point at which a case is notified to the Coroner. Allied to this he advises on issues that flow from serious untoward incidents including in relation to criminal investigations, CQC enforcement and civil claims.

He has a particular interest and expertise in issues relating to mental capacity and has represented clients in the Court of Protection and the High Court both in relation to medical treatment and welfare issues concerning both adults and children. He has supported both health and social care providers with challenges to the CQC including representation in connection with enforcement action.

He also represents public bodies in connection with Judicial Review proceedings largely around issues relating to the provision of facilities and services.
