Klaus Triebel

Chief Resource Geologist at Capstone Copper

Klaus Triebel has over 15 years of experience in the mining industry. Klaus has held various positions at different companies, including Capstone Mining Corp, where they served as the Chief Resource Geologist. In this role, they were responsible for improving geologic block models and planning infill holes for ore predictions.

Prior to that, Triebel worked at Hunt Mining Corp as the Director of Mine Project Development. Here, they led the due diligence process for an acquisition and oversaw the planning for mining and milling operations. Klaus also generated feasibility and engineering studies.

Triebel also worked at Coeur Mining as the Manager of Resource Evaluation, providing technical support and overseeing mineral resource and reserve estimations. At TetraTech - Wardrop, they served as a Principal Geologist, participating in economic assessments and conducting exploratory data analysis.

Additionally, Triebel has experience working as a Senior Resources Modeler at Kinross Gold Corporation, as well as managing technical services at Bullion River Gold and Century Mining. Klaus also worked as a mining consultant and project engineer/geologist at URS Corporation.

Throughout their career, Triebel has gained expertise in geostatistics, resource estimation, mine planning, and feasibility studies.

Klaus Triebel holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Applied Science - Mining, Energy and Environmental Science in Bochum, Germany. Klaus also obtained a Master of Science degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
