Nisha Hennessy

Nisha Hennessy has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Nisha has been the Director of Internal Audit at Capstone Copper since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Ritchie Bros. where they held various positions including Senior Manager of Internal Audit from 2022 to 2023, Manager of Internal Audit from 2016 to 2022, and Senior Internal Auditor from 2015 to 2016. Nisha also served as the Academic Relations Facilitator at The Institute of Internal Auditors - Vancouver Chapter from 2016 to 2023. Nisha has previous experience as a Manager and Senior Consultant in Risk Consulting at KPMG Canada from 2010 to 2015. Nisha started their career as a Supervising Senior at Audit New Zealand from 2006 to 2010 and as an Accounting Analyst at VSA (Volunteer Service Abroad) from 2005 to 2006. Nisha is a CA (NZ), CIA, and CRMA.

Nisha Hennessy obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree in Accounting and Commercial Law from Victoria University of Wellington from 2002 to 2006. In 2008, they became a Chartered Accountant through the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. Nisha also holds additional certifications including Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., as well as being a Chartered Accountant (NZ) through Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
