John Lau

John Lau has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. John began their career in 1981, serving in the United States Air Force as a Weapons Control System Technician. During this time, they gained valuable electronics knowledge, particularly in troubleshooting radar systems and calibration of fire control systems. In 1989, they transitioned to Cal Poly Pomona, where they worked as an Audio Visual Technician responsible for the scheduling and delivery of audio/visual equipment campus-wide. John also upgraded equipment in classrooms and maintained it to provide the best service for the university. Since 1996, John has been employed at Capstone Turbine Corporation as a Sr. Engineering Technician. In this role, they have provided technical support for the engineering test department, assembling data acquisition equipment to advance the company's microturbine. John also provides field service support as needed by the engineering department.

John Lau attended Crawford High School from 1979 to 1981, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on General Education. From 1987 to 1988, they attended Coleman College, studying Computer Technology and Computer Systems Technology. Later, from 1992 to 1996, John Lau pursued their studies in Biotechnology at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
