Marina Spahlinger

Marina Spahlinger has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Marina started their career in 2009 as a Conference Assistant at ICLEI. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Analyst and Project Lead at Communica Public Affairs. In 2014, they joined Genalta Power Inc. as a Manager in Regulatory and Government Affairs and stayed there until 2017. During that time, they also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Calgary from 2016 to 2016. From 2017 to 2022, Marina worked at Vopak as the Manager of Regulatory and Stakeholder Relations in Canada West. Marina then joined Two Worlds Consulting in 2022, initially as an Impact Assessment and Information Management Specialist and later as a Technical Lead in Impact Assessment and Information Management. Marina's latest role is as a Project Manager at Capstone Infrastructure Corporation, starting in May 2023.

Marina Spahlinger received their Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from the University of Calgary from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Languages Interpreting and Translating, specializing in German, French, and English, from Heriot-Watt University from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their degrees, Marina also obtained a Project Management Certificate from Mount Royal University in 2014 and a Planning for Effective Public Participation Certificate of Completion from IAP2 in 2012.
