Waleed Abdulaal P.Eng, M.Eng has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Waleed currently holds the position of Vice President Asset Management at Capstone Infrastructure Corporation, where they oversee the management of assets and previously served as Manager Asset Management - Renewable Energy. Waleed is also a Steering Committee Member at the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA).

Prior to their current roles, Waleed worked at Enbridge, where they held the position of Asset Manager - Renewable Energy. In this role, they focused on evaluating optimization opportunities for renewable assets (Solar & Wind) to improve financial performance and presented business cases to top management for approval. Additionally, Waleed served as a Project Manager Engineering Integrity and Senior Engineer, Pipeline Asset Integrity at Enbridge, where they were responsible for developing operational programs and conducting engineering assessments and benchmarking for capital projects, acquisitions, and optimization initiatives.

Before joining Enbridge, Waleed worked as a Project Engineer (Technical Services) at Aecon Group Inc. and as a Mechanical Project Engineer at Gulf Farabi Petrochemical Co. Ltd., where they actively participated in a multi-million-dollar plant expansion project.

Early in their career, Waleed gained teaching experience as a Teacher Assistant (Lab Demonstrator) at Concordia University and also served as a Piping & Mechanical Engineer at Kharafi National.

Throughout their career, Waleed Abdulaal has demonstrated their expertise in asset management, renewable energy, project management, integrity management, engineering assessments, benchmarking, and mechanical engineering.

Waleed Abdulaal P.Eng, M.Eng began their education by completing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Power Engineering at Alexandria University from 2002 to 2007. Waleed then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Turbomachinery and Propulsion at Concordia University from 2011 to 2013.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Waleed obtained a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification from Professional Engineers Ontario in October 2016, and a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in June 2015. To enhance their skills, they also earned a Project Management Certificate through an online course in November 2009. Furthermore, Waleed obtained a TOFEL certification from ETS in November 2010.
