Ian has 25 years of investment banking experience and has advised on more than $5 billion of transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, and refinancings.
Ian is Head of the Aerospace, Defense, Government & Security Group and in addition, has extensive experience in Industrials and Audio Sound Management. He has represented clients from leading multinationals to privately held companies and has completed transactions with corporations such as General Electric, DuPont, and Hewlett Packard, as well as leading private equity firms.
Prior to joining Capstone Partners, Ian was a Managing Director and a founding member of Grant Thornton Corporate Finance. He also worked with PWC Corporate Finance in London, and having been employed in investment banking in both the US and Europe, has led numerous cross-border transactions.
Ian has led transactions which have won multiple awards including M&A Advisor Deal of the Year, M&A Atlas North America Deal of the Year, M&A Advisor Consumer Services Deal of the Year, and M&A Atlas Award Private Equity Deal of the Year. Additionally, he has appeared on CNBC and has been quoted in over a hundred publications including Business Week, The New York Times and Mergers & Acquisitions.
