John Lau

John Lau has extensive experience in technical support and systems management, currently serving as a Senior Engineering Technician at Capstone Turbine Corporation since September 1996. In this role, John provides essential technical support for the engineering test department, focusing on data acquisition equipment for microturbine development. Prior to this, John worked as an Audio Visual Technician at Cal Poly Pomona from August 1989 to September 1996, where responsibilities included scheduling and delivering audio/visual equipment across campus and upgrading classroom technology. John's career began in the United States Air Force, where from July 1981 to July 1986, valuable electronics knowledge was gained as a Weapons Control System Technician, including troubleshooting radar systems and calibrating fire control systems for the F-4E Phantom fighter jet. John holds a high school diploma from Crawford High School and furthered education at Coleman College and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
