Axel co-founded Captain Wallet in 2014, a leading European Wallet Management Platform that enables brands to digitize and distribute their marketing tools. Axel worked closely with renowned brands such as McDonald's, Etam, and Renault. Axel was also a member of BusinessFirst, a exclusive networking community for digital Business Developers.

Prior to their entrepreneurial endeavors, Axel served as the Chief of Staff CEO France et Europe du Sud and Corporate Communication Manager at McDonald's France from 2012 to 2014. Axel also worked as a Communication Advisor for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development from 2010 to 2012, where they handled press relations and speech writing.

Before that, Axel gained experience as a Researcher Associate at Russell Reynolds Associates, where they conducted research and analysis. Axel also worked as an Administrative and Financial Manager at Altai Consulting Afghanistan.

Axel Detours has a diverse education history with degrees in various fields. Axel first attended Université Montesquieu Bordeaux 4 from 1999 to 2002, where they earned a DEUG in Droit (Law). Following that, they studied at the University of Warwick from 2002 to 2003, obtaining a Licence in International Law and Legal Studies. From 2003 to 2004, they pursued a Maîtrise in International Law and Legal Studies at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. Later, from 2004 to 2005, Axel obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Diplomatie et négociations stratégiques from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI). Axel'seducation journey concluded at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2006 to 2007, where they achieved a Master of Science (MSc) in International Relations and Affairs.
