Laura Furlin DeBlasio has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Laura worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche before becoming a Senior Financial Analyst at Sara Lee. Laura then served as a Finance Manager at CSC and later as an Associate Director of Finance at UBS. In 2006, while being a stay-at-home mom, Laura started their own home-based business as an Independent Consultant for Arbonne International. Laura provided accounting and finance services as an Independent Contractor for the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago from 2009 to 2010. From 2011 to 2013, Laura ran their own business, DeBlasio Financial Services, LLC, providing accounting and consulting services. Laura then worked as the Corporate Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at Filtration Group Corporation. Since 2016, Laura has been working as a VP of Finance at Captive Resources, LLC, where they oversee and presents on finance and tax aspects of offshore captive insurance companies.

Laura Furlin DeBlasio's education history begins with their high school education at Valparaiso High School, which took place from 1986 to 1990. After completing high school, they attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1990 to 1994 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a specialization in Accounting. Following their undergraduate studies, Laura pursued further education at the University of Chicago from 1997 to 2000 and earned a Master of Business Administration degree. Laura'sMBA focused on General/Strategic Management and Marketing.
