Christene Banda has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Christene currently works as the Chief Operating Officer at Captura, a company focused on developing low-cost carbon capture technology. Prior to this, they served as the President of Cosasco, a corrosion and erosion monitoring solutions provider. Christene also held the position of Director of Mechanical Integrity at PinnacleART, where they implemented asset reliability and integrity programs. In addition, they worked as a Regional Operations Manager at Aegion Corporation, overseeing a large region with multiple employees and generating significant revenue. Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Operations Manager at Corrpro Companies, managing construction and engineering staff and driving business growth. Christene also worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at General Dynamics, designing engineering solutions for military safety hazards, and as a Material Science Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, contributing to the design of the Littoral Combat Ship. At the start of their career, they conducted biopolymer engineering research as an Assistant Research Intern at the University of Hawaii.

Christene Banda attended Lehigh University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science and Engineering.
