Director Of Expansion Strategy at Cara Collective

Liana Bran has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Currently, they serve as the Director of Expansion Strategy at Cara Chicago since February 2021. Prior to that, Liana worked at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce where they held multiple positions, including Director of the Latinx Incubator from January 2019 to January 2021, Director of the Founders' Assembly from July 2017 to December 2018, Director of Substance Free Workplace from April 2014 to July 2017, and Project Coordinator at the Small Business Development Center from July 2013 to April 2014. Liana also had the opportunity to be a Chicago Workforce Leadership Academy Fellow at The Aspen Institute from January 2019 to December 2019. Liana gained valuable experience as a Casework Intern at the Office of Senator Richard Durbin from December 2012 to July 2013 and as a Housing Intern at RefugeeOne from January 2012 to July 2012. Liana began their career as an Intern at the Imani Center for Policy and Education from September 2010 to December 2010.

Liana Bran completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they attended from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Liana attended the University of Ghana in 2010, but it is unspecified whether they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study there. Beside their formal education, Liana has obtained certifications as an Engagement Champion from Gallup, a Team Awareness Trainer from Organizational Wellness and Learning Systems (OWLS), and a Work@Health Certified Trainer from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
