Giacomo Pirinoli is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Caracol AM since October 2024, Giacomo has previously contributed to Horizen Labs as a Software Engineer and led the engineering team at Ubiquicom. A background in software development for industrial IoT solutions and testing machines has been cultivated over years, including roles at SPEA and earlier positions at IBM where project management skills were developed. Giacomo holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Università degli Studi di Milano, complementing a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from the same institution. Early educational experiences included a pedagogy internship and thesis preparation in 3D surface reconstruction.

Caracol AM
Caracol provides advanced additive manufacturing services (3D printing). Following research activities on the world of 3D and generative design at the Polytechnic of Milan, it has transformed robotic supports into an integrated Additive Manufacturing technology. The Caracol robotic system produces large-sized monocoque components with very complexgeometries and "direct printing" of composite materials with high mechanical and thermal performance thanks to the hardware development of an innovative patented extrusion system and proprietary software algorithms.
