Leea Thorne has worked in a variety of roles in the past decade. From 2009 to 2012, they were the Program Coordinator & Shorts Programmer at the Whistler Film Festival + Forum, where they implemented all organizational and creative aspects of festival programming, managed the submission and tracking of hundreds of films, and screened hundreds of films for potential inclusion in the film line-up. From 2012 to 2017, they were an Executive Assistant at the Leonard Brody Group, where they created, organized, and tracked expense reports and invoices, annually negotiated and managed multiple global corporate rate contracts at five star hotels, and managed accounting administration and yearly tax preparation. In 2016, they were a Researcher at Forbes, where they researched companies for inclusion in the print and online publication of KPMGVoice, The Great ReWrite. Finally, from 2017 to the present, they have been a Business Analyst at Caravan.
Leea Thorne completed a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom at Royal Roads University between 2015 and 2017, with a focus on Business/Commerce, General. Leea also attended Capilano University between 2005 and 2009, where they earned an Advanced Diploma in Film/Cinema/Video Studies.
