Greg Ramsay

Greg Ramsay has a strong background in law and legal counsel. Greg is currently working as a Corporate Lawyer and Fractional General Counsel at Caravel Law since February 2020. Prior to this, they founded Made It Legal, a legal tech platform, in 2019. As the Founder, they combined legal automation technology with the services of human lawyers. In the same year, they also worked as a Corporate Lawyer and Board Advisor at Greg Ramsay Lawyer + Counsel, where they provided legal counsel and advisory services to businesses.

From 2012 to 2019, Greg worked at Brookfield Residential as the Director of Legal Counsel. In this role, they handled various corporate legal matters across Canada and the US, including acquisitions, capital markets, financing, and litigation management. Greg also served as the assistant corporate secretary and corporate officer for Risk Management. During their tenure, they closed over $2 billion in corporate acquisitions, offerings, and credit agreements.

Before joining Brookfield Residential, Greg worked as an Associate at Bennett Jones LLP from 2009 to 2012. Greg started their legal career at Bennett Jones LLP, gaining valuable experience in corporate law. Prior to their legal career, they worked as a Commercial Auto Insurance Underwriter at RSA and as a Financial Advisor at TD Bank Group.

Greg Ramsay completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance/Risk Management from the University of Calgary from 2001 to 2005. Greg then pursued their LL.B. degree in Law from the University of Alberta from 2006 to 2009.
