Kári Helgason

Head of Research & Innovation at Carbfix

Kári Helgason is currently the Head of Research & Innovation at Carbfix. Prior to this, they were a Research Project Manager at Orkuveita Reykjavíkur from April 2019 to December 2019. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Háskóli Íslands from February 2018 to April 2019.

Kári Helgason's career began as a Doctoral Researcher at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center from June 2010 to July 2014. Kári then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics from September 2014 to February 2018.

Kári Helgason has a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in Astronomy from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Háskóli Íslands. Kári also has a degree in Astronomy from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen.

Kári Helgason reports to Edda Sif Pind Aradóttir, CEO. Kári Helgason works with Chiara Marieni - Project Manager, Eva Dís Þórðardóttir - Project Manager, and Bergur Sigfússon - Head of CO2 Capture & Injection.
