Wladimir Moraes has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Wladimir started their career as an Engineer in Training at IBM Brasil, where they qualified suppliers of plastic parts for mainframe computers. Wladimir then worked at the Institute of Chemistry and Polymer Technology of the Italian National Research Counsel as a researcher, studying crystallization of PEEKK and exploring polymers recycling and biodegradability.

Moving into the business world, Moraes joined Polibrasil S.A. as a Business Support Engineer, responsible for technology transfer and market development for advanced polyolefins imported from EU & USA plants. Wladimir later worked at LyondellBasell in various roles, including Senior Project Manager, Regional Business Manager, and Industry Business Manager, overseeing business and P&L responsibilities in EMEA and Asia for specialty polyolefins.

Moraes then joined BioAmber, Inc. as a Marketing Director, focusing on business and market creation for renewable and biobased chemicals obtained from biotechnology. Wladimir contributed to market introduction and sales in a start-up organization, with sustainability as a core value proposition.

More recently, Moraes worked at Bostik as a Global Market Manager for Flexible Packaging, responsible for global strategy, marketing, innovation, and business creation for Bostik's adhesives and sealing solutions in the flexible packaging industry. Wladimir shared P&L responsibility for this global market segment.

Currently, Moraes holds the position of Director of Business Development at Carbios.

Wladimir Moraes has a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, which they obtained from UFSCar from 1985 to 1990. Wladimir also completed a Master's equivalent program in Polymer Science & Technology at the International School of Advanced Studies from 2000 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Wladimir has also taken various short courses and in-company management training programs focused on Business Management, Strategic Marketing B2B, Sales & Negotiation, Leadership, Finance, and Project Management, from different management schools between 1997 and 2021.
