Alfred G. Tamayo

Alfred G. Tamayo has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and development. Alfred G. began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School in 2010, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they gained valuable experience in the field of cell engineering as a Research Scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2017 to 2020.

In 2020, Tamayo joined Lytica Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist of Pharmacology and worked there until 2021. Alfred G. then moved on to Ichosia Biotechnology, Inc. as a Senior Scientist for a brief period from June 2021 to October 2021.

Tamayo continued their scientific career at uniQure in 2021 as a Scientist of Analytical Development and remained with the company until March 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientist at Carbon Biosciences, a role they assumed in March 2023.

Throughout their career, Tamayo has consistently demonstrated their expertise and dedication to scientific research and development, making significant contributions to the field.

Alfred G. Tamayo completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Boston University from 1999 to 2003. Alfred G. then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the Boston University School of Medicine, specializing in Molecular Medicine/Cell and Molecular Biology, which they completed from 2005 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Alfred obtained certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross in December 2019.
