Ignus Rocher has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ignus began their career as an Assistant Site Agent at WBHO Infrastructure, where they gained experience in construction management and structural engineering. Ignus then worked at Aurecon as a Design Engineer and later as a Transport Planner, where they developed skills in project management, public transport planning, and traffic impact assessment. After that, they joined Hatch as a Transportation Engineer, where they focused on managing transport studies and developing transport simulation models. Ignus then joined the City of Cape Town as a Network Planning Engineer, working on the development of an operational management and network planning system. Following this, they worked at McKinsey & Company in various roles, including Junior Research Analyst, Capabilities & Insights Analyst, and Senior Capabilities & Insights Analyst. In these roles, they were involved in developing methodological approaches and predictive models around environmental sustainability and natural capital erosion. Most recently, Ignus has joined Carbon Neutral Royalty Ltd. as an Investment Director, where they are likely leveraging their expertise in sustainability and conservation to make investment decisions.
Ignus Rocher attended Jim Fouché Hoërskool from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a South African Senior Certificate in Secondary School. Ignus then enrolled at the University of Stellenbosch from 2008 to 2011 and obtained a BEng in Civil Engineering.
