Will Beaufoy

Will Beaufoy has a diverse work experience in various software engineering roles.

Will started their career as a Marketing Officer and Training Coordinator at Free2Learn in 2011, coordinating training for hundreds of learners and marketing the company to new clients.

In 2012, they worked as a Web Developer at PeopleVox, specializing in Wordpress.

From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Motherlode Media Ltd, where they created site migration tools and plugins for resourcespace.

Will then joined Messagewright as a Software Engineer, implementing designs for health-related websites.

In 2014, they became a Software Engineer at the Zoological Society of London, developing and testing new features for their custom-built project management tool. Will also created various internal tools and data visualization sites.

In 2016, they started their own business, Will Beaufoy Software Development, providing software development and business analysis services to small businesses. Will'smain client was ReWorKs UK, where they improved web platforms and performed general website development.

From 2017 to 2021, they worked at CommScope - assigned to Google, where they played a key role in developing a fiber network planning and visualization web application. Will led the team, owned complex feature development, and grew the team from two to seven members.

Will then joined ev.energy in 2021 as a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer. Will'sresponsibilities included working on the core backend system, integrating with external APIs, building a virtual power plant, and also undertaking frontend work on their mobile app. Will also took the lead on managing projects from end-to-end.

Currently, they are working at Carbon Re as a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer, specializing in full-stack software development.

Will Beaufoy has a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, which they obtained from UCL between 2006 and 2009. Will later pursued a Diploma in Computer Science at Birkbeck, University of London from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, they attained a Master of Science (MSc) in the field of Politics of Nationalism and Ethnic Conflict from Birkbeck, University of London between 2015 and 2016.
