Tim de Souza

Tim de Souza is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Manager at Carbon Revolution since February 2018, after holding the position of Senior Product Engineer. Prior to this, Tim worked at Quickstep Holdings Limited as a Design and Engineering Simulation Specialist, leading the Design and Engineering team within the automotive sector. Tim's academic career at Deakin University included roles as a Research Fellow in Automotive Design and a Lecturer, where extensive work was done on innovative automotive solutions, teaching Computer Aided Engineering, and managing curricula. Tim's early career featured a role as Chief Design Engineer, focusing on the conceptual design of sustainable vehicle technologies. Tim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering and dual Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from Deakin University.
