Jennifer Kaefer

Jennifer Kaefer has a work experience in various technical writing roles. Jennifer is currently working as a Senior Technical Writer at Carbon since June 2022. Previously, they worked at Synaptics as a Senior Technical Writer for 14 years from 2008 to 2022. In this role, Jennifer created and maintained technical documentation, including manuals, user guides, product briefs, and online help. Jennifer also created training materials and reference content for enterprise software rollouts, managed the workload of an intern, oversaw large documentation projects, and streamlined the writing and release process for product specifications. Additionally, Jennifer enhanced the usability of products by writing help text and dialog box text and maintained a custom-built document-generating script. Before Synaptics, they worked at Aviza Technology as a Technical Illustrator from 2006 to 2008, where they edited and updated documentation, created illustrations and diagrams, filmed procedures for field service videos, and created training materials. Jennifer also worked as a Visual Design Coordinator at Cal Poly State University from September 2005 to December 2005, where they collaborated in designing and conducting usability tests for the university library website.
